Dr. Vanessa Calderón, MD, MPP joins us today to discuss Using Neuroplasticity as a Tactic for Stress Response. Neuroplasticity refers to how the brain can shape, shift and remodel based on our perceptions. Our brains are hard wired for us to survive, which causes us to experience stress all day long. We can’t change our external environment, so how do we remodel our brains and change our perception to the stressors in our environment? Dr. Calderón will explain how this is possible and share some self-regulation techniques to break the stress cycle.

She has over 20 years of leadership experience and is the founder of the Latina Leadership Accelerator, where she uses education, training and coaching to support the personal and professional development of Latina’s at all levels of their careers.
